International Association for the Study of Pain Boston 2018

I attended this conference in the beautiful city of Boston. There was such a positive atmosphere form all attendees.Research and better treatments for pain sufferers are on the horizon. Attendees were from all over the world (I was the only one from Trinidad) and all medical and ancillary specialties were there and a good chance to meet each other and share our experiences and knowledge. what was new this year was sessions involving patients who could share their journey so far with chronic pain and their likes and dislikes and what could be improved in pain management. The need for individualised treatment with a multidisciplinary team in pain management was highlighted again and again and how educating patients in self management was essential. All in all this was a great conference .
